Job Description

Work Flexibility:
Hybrid As a Manager, Engineering in R D, you'll support our Knee Business Unit within Stryker's Joint Replacement Division and lead high-impact initiatives, mentor top talent, and shape the future of medical innovation. This is a hybrid role, and the candidate will need to be within commuting distance to our Mahwah, NJ office to be on-site 2 - 3 days per week. Execute complex projects with accountability for planning, budgeting, staffing, and delivery of results. Apply problem-solving and process improvement methodologies to resolve technical and business challenges. Influence cross-functional teams and senior leaders through clear, strategic communication. Champion diversity, inclusion, and belonging in hiring and team development. Ensure compliance with medical device regulations and design control standards. Partner with customers and key opinion leaders to align technical strategies with clinical needs. Contribute to financial modeling and strategic planning for product segments or business functions. What You Will Need Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field. Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in engineering or product development. Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver complex projects. Experience with regulatory compliance in medical device development. Preferred Qualifications At least 2 years of direct people management experience. Prior experience specifically in knee implants or joint reconstruction/implants. Proven success in coaching team performance and managing talent strategies. Strong understanding of healthcare market dynamics and competitors. Experience in budget creation and financial accountability at the project level. Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to diverse audiences. US20: $141,600 - $236,000

These roles could have travel expectations, and you must work within the country of the job requisition location. Field-based - You can expect to regularly work a majority to 100% of time at customer facilities and has a set territory or expectation to travel within a set boundary. Almost all sales roles would likely be qualified as field-based. Onsite - Role is 100% located at a Stryker facility. Some ad hoc flexibility may be available depending on role, level, and job requirements. Manufacturing roles and any role that requires physical presence at the office would qualify under this category. Hybrid - You can expect to regularly work in both an alternate workplace and a Stryker facility. Roles that are partially remote or co-located would qualify as hybrid, and the expectation to be onsite would be defined and agreed upon by your manager/supervisor.
