with Match Ample Growth Opportunities Paid Holidays Mechanical Consultant III Location Charleston / Greenville Essential Job Functions Requires limited mentoring on complex system designs. Owns the design for projects from start to finish and through construction administration. Performs individual aspects of mechanical engineering as it relates to individually assigned projects. This is inclusive of, but not limited to the following: HVAC
Split system/Package Heat Pumps, Chilled Water/Hot Water Hydronics, Steam/Condensate, Constant volume and variable volume air distribution systems. Plumbing
Medical gas systems, Hot and cold water/waste and vent systems, Compressed air systems. Fire Protection
Performance drawings and specification for wet pipe and dry pipe systems.
Assigns and manages tasks to Mechanical Consultants I and II. Understands and implements cross-discipline coordination both internal and external to DWG. Performs self QC on work and plans for/seeks appropriate peer review of work. Performs construction phase engineering services; RFI's owner/ architect/ contractor meeting attendance, submittals, construction observation site visits and reports. Meets with Clients regarding mechanical engineering design and projects. Performing appropriate field work to determine a design direction, including making educated decisions on system upgrades. Education BS or MS in Mechanical Engineering or an Architectural Engineering 4+ years related experience in Consulting Engineering Machine/Equipment/Computer Requirements Knowledge of Microsoft Office Revit HVAC Load Analysis Program (HAP or TRACE)
