Job Description This role involves creating 2D drawings and 3D models using SolidWorks, developing detailed mechanical designs, assemblies, and layouts, and preparing manufacturing drawings. You will play a crucial role in revising and maintaining existing designs based on engineering changes and ensuring compliance with applicable standards and safety requirements. Responsibilities Create 2D drawings and 3D models using SolidWorks. Develop detailed mechanical designs, assemblies, and layouts. Prepare manufacturing drawings, including GD&T and BOMs. Revise and maintain existing designs based on engineering changes. Collaborate with engineers and cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet functional and manufacturability requirements. Support prototype development and design validation efforts. Ensure designs comply with applicable standards, specifications, and safety requirements. Maintain organized design files and documentation. Skill & Qualifications 7+ years of experience in mechanical design. Proficiency in SolidWorks design. Strong understanding of GD&T. Experience with conveyor systems and facility engineering. Familiarity with ERP/PDM systems. Experience supporting manufacturing or production environments. Knowledge of machining, sheet metal, or welded assemblies. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Port Clinton, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
