Job Description:
Mechanical Design Engineer Raleigh, NC Our Mechanical Design Engineers design custom EOATs for material handling used on robots, gantries, and manual handling systems. Our team also prepares dimensional drawings, approval drawings, assembly drawings, and other complex drawings while working with our Applications team to understand the scope of work for designs which meet and exceed our customers' requirements. This position reports to the Manager, Design Engineering You will work onsite during the initial training (Monday - Friday) Opportunity to transition to a hybrid schedule after completion of training Why Schmalz? Your Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing preferred) Three or more years of experience in the design, testing, and development of new products Proficient in 3D CAD; SolidWorks is preferred Experience creating engineering drawings Industrial Automation experience preferred Superior communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team, and function independently. Must be able to organize and prioritize work.
