Role:

We are seeking a talented Mechanical Engineer with HVAC design experience to join a growing MEP consulting engineering team. This position offers the opportunity to work on impactful commercial, healthcare, education, civic, laboratory, and mixed-use projects while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team in a supportive and mentorship-focused environment. Responsibilities:

Design HVAC and mechanical systems for commercial, healthcare, education, civic, and mixed-use facilities Perform load calculations, equipment selection, and energy analysis Prepare construction documents, specifications, and engineering reports Coordinate with electrical, plumbing, architectural, and structural disciplines Conduct field investigations, site visits, and construction administration activities Review submittals, RFIs, and contractor questions during construction Participate in client meetings and maintain strong client relationships Assist with mentoring junior engineers and designers Support project scheduling, budgeting, and technical coordination

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering 2+ years of experience within the MEP consulting engineering industry EIT or PE license preferred Strong knowledge of HVAC system design and building mechanical systems Experience with Revit and AutoCAD Familiarity with applicable building codes and ASHRAE standards Strong communication and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously

Preferred Experience:

Healthcare, higher education, K-12, civic, laboratory, or commercial project experience Energy modeling or commissioning exposure is a plus Experience coordinating directly with clients and architects
