Mechanical Engineer Job Description We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves reviewing and ensuring the accuracy and compliance of mechanical engineering plans and specifications. As the Engineer of Record, you will provide your professional engineering seal when required, ensuring adherence to all applicable codes and standards. Collaboration with internal design teams and coordination with project managers and external stakeholders are key components of this position. Responsibilities Review mechanical engineering plans, calculations, and specifications for accuracy, constructability, and code compliance. Serve as Engineer of Record, providing professional engineering seal where required. Ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards, including ASHRAE, IMC, and local jurisdictional requirements. Collaborate with internal design teams to provide technical guidance and resolve design issues. Coordinate with project managers, other engineering disciplines, and external stakeholders as needed. Support QA/QC processes and contribute to continuous improvement of engineering standards and best practices. Provide mentorship and technical oversight to junior and mid-level engineers. Participate in client and authority-having-jurisdiction (AHJ) reviews as needed. Essential Skills PE License. 2+ years of experience working on mission critical projects. 8+ years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer. Experience reviewing and sealing plans. B.S. in Mechanical Engineering. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with Revit. Strong mechanical design skills. Work Environment This position allows for remote work with an on-site requirement every Thursday. The work schedule includes four 9-hour days from Monday to Thursday, with flexible start times between 7AM and 9AM. Fridays are half-days, from 8AM to 12PM. Paid Time Off is accrued at 5 hours per pay period, totaling approximately 16 days per year, along with 40 hours of paid sick time and 9 paid holidays.

Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Phoenix, AZ. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $90000.00 - $125000.00/hr.
