The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for conceptualizing and designing automated equipment in accordance with customer and internal specifications.Responsibilities:
- Design cam, servo, and air-operated stations, and modify existing designs.
- Execute cam (drive) design.
- Ensure designs are functional, robust, and cost-effective.
- Incorporate standards and regulatory requirements using innovation and good judgment.
- Research and specify appropriate materials and purchased components.
- Create detailed drawings, assembly drawings, bills of materials, organize release packages, and update drawings.
- Participate in internal and customer design reviews.
- Prepare pneumatic and timing diagrams and select appropriate sensors.
- Collaborate with suppliers to develop functional and economical design solutions.
- Adhere to project schedules and budgets.
- Solve design or detail issues and update relevant documentation.
- Communicate ideas and comprehend information both verbally and in written form.
- Integrate well within a team, demonstrating objectivity and openness to other views.
- Follow policies and procedures to meet
ISO 9001
certification requirements.- Contribute to the development and maintenance of internal and international standards.
- Comply with the terms and conditions of the employee work-from-home policy.
- Set and maintain departmental goals aligned with company objectives.
- Support and participate in the quality management program.
- Provide necessary documentation and support for machinery operating manuals.
- Make recommendations for quality and cost improvements.
- Stay current with product developments.
- Travel up to 10%.
Qualifications:
- College degree in Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 2-6 years of automation machine design experience.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar CAD systems.
