Job Description
Agam is currently looking to hire a CAD Engineer to assist with technical drawings for our commercial office and or interiors department. We are seeking a talented, well-organized individual with the ability to generate CAD models and shop specifications. The CAD models and shop specifications are constructed utilizing our extensive extruded aluminum modular systems consisting of over 200 extrusions. For over 40 years, Agam has been engineering and manufacturing adaptable physical structures for trade shows/events, retail environments, office interiors, and healthcare spaces. State-of-the-art machinery and equipment (See our web site, www.agam.com.) allows us to bring complex designs to market quickly and efficiently. Responsibilities and Duties Produce drawings in AutoCAD utilizing established CAD templates and interface with Project Managers and Production staff. You will work in a team environment, prioritize conflicting deadlines, complete a variety of tasks within a given schedule, and work on multiple projects at once. Additional responsibilities will include collaboration on product development initiatives.
Main Areas of Responsibility:
Meet with Account Executives, Project Managers, and/or VP of Interior Architecture to establish project criteria and determine the best aesthetic and engineering solution prior to beginning each project. Take customer concepts, drawings and sketches, and then determine which Agam Interiors walls system best fits the design intent, functional needs, and structural requirements. Draw 3D model solutions in CAD for client and manufacturing. Produce drawings that comply with architectural/engineering standards for commercial interior spaces. Complete material schedules as necessary. Create manufacturing drawings for any components that are custom or complex beyond the usual system parameters. This may also include creating programs for specialty machines to produce custom parts. Create assembly drawings for on-site install when needed. Meet deadlines assigned on Monday (our scheduling system) or from management. May participate in product development activities. Answer manufacturing questions for shop personnel related to projects or as needed. Make suggestions that improve client outcomes and share with team. Qualifications and Skills Bachelor's degree and 1-3 years of commercial interior architectural experience preferred. Proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD or equivalent is required, and knowledge in SketchUp and rendering skills a plus.Job Type:
