Mechanical Engineer | Remote Job Description Join our dynamic team to complete engineering projects by analyzing problems and organizing and controlling project elements. Provide expert advice on design processes or construction methods, and lead investigations or prototype, model, and system studies to recommend practical applications of results. Demonstrate your ability to review complex calculations and design deliverables while evaluating mechanical and electromechanical systems and products using principles of mechanics, thermodynamics, hydraulics, heat transfer, and materials. Responsibilities + Analyze problems and establish general performance specifications for components, equipment, systems, and processes. + Collaborate with team members on projects to determine priorities and implications on work. + Provide effective solutions and define appropriate deliverables for client needs. + Approve work schedules and recommend increased resources and special equipment. Essential Skills + Proficiency in design and AutoCAD. + Experience in nuclear power plant design. + 5-15 years of relevant work experience. + Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited school. + Working knowledge of mechanical engineering design codes, standards, and regulations for nuclear power plants. + Knowledge of Nuclear Quality Assurance Standards. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Understanding of client Engineering Change Control processes for nuclear power generation utilities. + Good time management skills. + Capability to interface effectively with and gain the trust of station customers. + Excellent written and verbal communication skills. + Strong interpersonal skills. We offer a flexible work-from-home/office schedule, allowing for remote work in ET or CT time zones. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Naperville, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00
  • $90.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
