Mechanical Engineer - MEP Consulting Firm

Cator, Ruma & Associates is seeking an entry-level Mechanical Engineer with 0-3 years of experience or a recent graduate interested in the HVAC and/or Plumbing Design field. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles, an interest in commercial and institutional building mechanical systems, and a willingness to learn applicable national codes, standards, and regulations. Experience or coursework with Revit is preferred. Applicants who have passed or are pursuing the FE/EIT certification are encouraged to apply.

Typical Responsibilities:

Performs involved and detailed design including system approach, equipment selection, mechanical room layout, and interface/coordination with clients. Performs 3D Revit and/or 2D CAD work. Receives project assignments and design requirements from the firm's Principals, Associates, or Project Managers. Completes project designs, drawings, specifications, calculations, equipment selection and application, and construction administration as necessary.

4-year engineering degree High level of written and verbal communication skills. High attention to detail. Proficient computer skills in Revit, AutoCAD Experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, etc.). Great attitude is a
