Seismo-Acoustic Engineer
- Wilson Alaska Technical Center (WATC) 532331 Fairbanks, Alaska, United States On Campus Staff Full-time Closing on: Sep 23 2026 Grade 80 UAF Geophysical Institute Add to favorites View favorites The Wilson Alaska Technical Center (WATC) is searching for a Seismo-Acoustic Engineer to join our engineering team in maintaining and improving seismic and infrasound stations around the globe
- from Antarctica to the remote Pacific Islands.
Minimum Qualifications:
Master's degree and two years research experience at the postgraduate level in a field relevant to the research (e.g. science, math, business), or an equivalentbination of training and experience.- US citizenship is required by the funding agency.
Position Details:
This position is full/part-time, Grade 80, term-funded, exempt, 12-month positionplete with apetitive salary and UA employee benefits package. UA provides a generouspensation package that includes retirement options, annual leave, 12 paid holidays per year, tuition waivers for employees and family members, and affordable medical, dental, and vision care coverage. New hires will be placed on the UA staff salary schedule, based on education and experience. The University of Alaska (UA) reserves the right to require employees to work on-site at the UA facilities.
