Senior Mechanical Engineer Job Description We are seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to develop system architectures for new products and integrated systems. This includes working on advanced AC, DC, and hydraulic hoist and winch systems, as well as cargo hooks and accessories. The role involves developing equipment and systems specifications, conceptual and detailed designs based on customer needs, and applying mechanical engineering principles to analyze forces, moments, and stresses. Responsibilities Develop system architectures for new products and integrated systems. Create equipment and systems specifications, conceptual designs, and detailed designs based on customer needs. Apply mechanical engineering principles to analyze forces, moments, and stresses. Provide mechanical and systems engineering services, including 3D solid modeling, computer-based simulations, rapid prototyping, testing, and technical documentation. Identify and incorporate advanced materials, material processing techniques, coatings, and surface treatments into next-generation products. Develop and execute project plans to ensure compliance with applicable standards and specifications. Provide project management services from concept to completion for both in-house and outsourced project work. Essential Skills 10+ years of experience in aerospace and aviation electro mechanical design. Understanding and/or experience with technical documentation utilizing Mil-810 standards. Experience developing products in ISO-9001 or AS9100 environment. Expertise in FEA (ANSYS Software), weight analysis, and load calculations. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. Proficiency in project management, design for manufacturability, Creo, vibration analysis, fatigue analysis, and EMI testing. Additional Skills & Qualifications Project management experience preferred, including financial and budget tracking. Strong experience in design configuration management. Advanced degree in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering. Strong leadership, organization, and meeting facilitation skills. Work Environment This is a full-time on-site role with working hours from 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday.
