Job Title:
Senior Mechanical Engineer Job Description This role leads the design, development, testing, optimization, and launch of hoisting systems and electromechanical components used in suspended access and lifting equipment. The Senior Mechanical Engineer owns product performance, innovation, manufacturability, customer experience, and margin improvement across the full product lifecycle. Responsibilities Lead mechanical design, development, testing, and launch of electromechanical systems, assemblies, and components. Translate customer, regulatory, and internal requirements into robust, manufacturable designs. Perform engineering analysis including stress, fatigue, deflection, and load calculations. Own new product introduction activities including design reviews, prototyping, testing, and launch readiness. Optimize existing products using customer feedback, field data, warranty trends, and manufacturing input. Drive improvements to reliability, safety, usability, and overall customer experience. Identify and implement cost reduction opportunities through design simplification, material changes, and process improvements. Collaborate with manufacturing, supply chain, quality, and suppliers to improve manufacturability and reduce lifecycle cost. Support root cause analysis and corrective actions for manufacturing, assembly, and field issues. Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards, codes, and safety regulations. Create and maintain engineering documentation including drawings, BOMs, specifications, and manuals. Essential Skills Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering. 10+ years of mechanical design and testing experience. Experience designing electromechanical systems or safety-critical equipment. Proficiency with SolidWorks and FEA tools. Direct industry experience designing, building, or supporting scaffolding, suspended access, hoisting, or lifting systems. Additional Skills & Qualifications Strong understanding of statics, mechanics of materials, machine design, and fatigue. Experience with GD&T, blueprint reading, and manufacturing processes. Proven experience leading product launches and cross-functional engineering. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Work Environment 100% remote Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Delaware, OH. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $150000.00/yr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
