Full-Time Overview A well-established, multidisciplinary engineering consulting firm is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join its growing Atlanta office. This is a leadership-oriented role focused on delivering high-quality HVAC and plumbing design across a diverse range of projects, while supporting team development and contributing to business growth. The position offers direct client exposure, technical ownership, and the opportunity to play a key role in shaping a collaborative, high-performing engineering team. Key Responsibilities Lead the design and delivery of HVAC and plumbing systems across multiple project types Manage concurrent projects, ensuring alignment with budget, schedule, and quality standards Provide leadership and mentorship to junior engineers and design staff Interface directly with clients, architects, and multidisciplinary teams Support proposal development and contribute to business development initiatives Perform engineering calculations and system analysis using industry-standard tools Ensure designs meet all applicable codes, standards, and client requirements Contribute to a positive, team-driven office culture Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field) Professional Engineer (PE) license required 10-15 years of experience within MEP consulting Strong background in HVAC and plumbing system design Proven experience leading projects and coordinating teams Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD Experience with load calculation software (e.g., HAP, Trace) Strong communication and client-facing skills Ability to work both independently and within a collaborative team environment
Preferred:
Experience with energy modeling Familiarity with local codes and AHJ processes Active involvement in professional or industry organizations Why Apply?
