Job Description:
The Opportunity Join Hitachi Energy and play a key role in shaping how tooling quality drives performance across a global supply chain. This opportunity offers the chance to work at the intersection of engineering, manufacturing, and supplier quality ensuring tooling systems meet the highest standards of safety, reliability, and efficiency. In this role, you'll lead tooling management initiatives that directly impact product quality and operational success. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers to strengthen processes, implement best practices, and drive continuous improvement. From conducting audits to influencing tooling strategies, your work will help minimize risk, enhance supplier performance, and support innovative manufacturing solutions. You'll also have the opportunity to contribute to strategic initiatives, including capital projects and standardization efforts, while representing the voice of the supplier in key decision-making processes.
Location:
Remote; requires 4-6 months onsite in Alamo, TN for initial integration. After acclimation, the role requires ~50% travel. How You'll Make an Impact Define and execute tooling management programs aligned with global standards Conduct supplier and internal tooling audits and compliance reviews Support suppliers in achieving tooling performance and quality targets Collaborate across Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain teams Drive tooling validation, monitoring, and continuous improvement efforts Lead or support CAPA investigations to prevent recurrence of issues Contribute to tooling standardization and tracking system implementation Support regional initiatives and capital projects related to tooling Your Background Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field Minimum 2+ years of experience in engineering, manufacturing, or quality Experience with tooling validation, verification, and health monitoring Knowledge of SPC, Six Sigma, or process capability analysis Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Work authorization to operate in the United States More About Us Work with a global leader advancing sustainable energy solutions Grow through cross-functional collaboration and continuous learning Be part of a culture built on safety, integrity, and innovation Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures and guidelines.
