Prefer Seasoned applicants but will entertain Entry Level Applicants Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, estimating analyzing, and improving mechanical systems and components, ensuring compliance with industry standards such as ASME codes. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects involving quantum engineering, system design, and manufacturing processes. The successful applicant will utilize advanced CAD tools like SolidWorks and Creo, perform FEA simulations, and contribute to the development of reliable and efficient mechanical solutions. A strong foundation in mechanical knowledge, schematics, and drafting is essential, along with experience in programming environments such as MATLAB, Simulink, LabVIEW, Arduino, and CNC operations. Responsibilities Develop detailed mechanical designs using CAD software including SolidWorks and Creo. Create and review schematics, technical drawings, and drafting documents in accordance with GD&T standards. Conduct root cause analysis to troubleshoot mechanical issues and implement corrective actions. Perform finite element analysis (FEA) to validate mechanical designs under various load conditions. Design system components considering manufacturing constraints and ASME codes & standards. Utilize programming tools such as MATLAB, Simulink, LabVIEW, Arduino, and C for system control and automation projects. Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams on project scheduling, system integration, and prototype development. Support manufacturing processes by providing technical guidance on CNC machining and mechanical fabrication. Apply principles of quantum engineering where applicable to innovative product development. Ensure all designs meet safety regulations and industry standards while optimizing performance. Experience Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field; advanced degrees are a plus. Proven experience with mechanical design software including SolidWorks and Creo. Strong understanding of GD&T principles, schematics creation, and drafting techniques. Hands-on experience with FEA tools such as ANSYS or similar platforms. Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), LabVIEW programming, MATLAB/Simulink environments, and Arduino systems. Knowledge of manufacturing processes including CNC machining and assembly techniques. Experience working within ASME codes & standards for mechanical design projects. Demonstrated ability to perform root cause analysis on complex mechanical systems. Prior involvement in system design projects involving quantum engineering or advanced manufacturing is advantageous but not required.
