Job Description

For one of our clients, an engineering consultant firm, are seeking a Senior Piping Engineer to lead piping design and engineering efforts for complex industrial, specialty chemical, and advanced manufacturing projects. This role serves as the technical lead for piping scope, overseeing system design, stress analysis, deliverables, and multidisciplinary coordination from concept through construction. This is a temp to perm opportunity in Greer, SC. Projects primarily involve brownfield facility expansions, upgrades, and process improvements, with occasional greenfield capital projects. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer who enjoys hands-on design, client interaction, and ownership of project execution. Key Responsibilities Lead piping design, layout development, and technical deliverables Develop piping systems from P&IDs and project specifications Perform pipe stress analysis and system evaluations using Caesar II Coordinate with Mechanical, Electrical, Process, Structural, and Construction teams Manage piping scope, schedules, budgets, and deliverables Provide technical guidance to designers and junior engineers Conduct field investigations and site assessments at operating facilities Review fabrication drawings and support construction activities Interface directly with clients, vendors, and fabrication shops Qualifications Professional Engineer (PE) license required 10+ years of piping engineering experience in chemical processing, manufacturing, or heavy industrial environments Strong pipe stress analysis experience using Caesar II Proficiency with CADWorx Plant Professional and ISOGEN Experience with AutoCAD Plant 3D and/or PDMS preferred Strong understanding of industrial piping codes, standards, and plant design practices Experience developing systems from P&IDs through implementation Ability to travel to client sites and work in industrial plant environments Preferred Background Engineering consulting or EPC experience Brownfield plant modification and expansion projects Coordination with fabrication shops and construction teams Strong project ownership and independent problem-solving skills

Up to $80.00 per hour
