This position is well suited for an engineer with a solid foundation in mechanical/structural design who is ready to contribute independently, collaborate with senior engineers and designers, and take ownership of project components from concept through production. Primary Job Responsibilities Design and model mechanical/structural parts and assemblies using Autodesk Inventor Review of Architectural and Structural plans for projects Generate and maintain detailed 2D and 3D CAD models and drawings to support development and production Participate in sustaining engineering activities to improve or maintain current product types Assist other designers when needed and support structural layout development for new and existing designs Perform research to evaluate feasibility, functionality, and performance of components and systems Collaborate across departments when needed to meet engineering and production deadlines Qualifications Associate Degree in Engineering Design or similar field of study Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or civil engineering (structural focus) is preferred 2 to 5 years of experience in mechanical or structural design preferred Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor or comparable CAD software Structural detailing experience is preferred Working knowledge of standard product design practices, manufacturing processes, and regulatory guidelines Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment Effective communication skills, both written and verbal Physical Demands Frequent use of hands for tools, CAD equipment, and materials handling Occasional standing, kneeling, or lifting (up to 50lbs) may be required Visual acuity necessary for detailed design and inspection tasks Why Choose Us?
