1697 Senior Mechanical Engineer positions offered by ABB E-Mobility, Inc. (West Columbia, South Carolina). Support and execute product engineering activities during the life cycle of products after their release for sales. Transfer all documentation and knowledge of newly developed products from the R D team to the Manufacturing team, including schematics, bill of material (BOM), working instructions, spare parts list, and product manuals. Create CAD design and maintain BOM of EV charger parts and systems, including enclosure, cable management system, and pedestals. Work closely with European and US factory production engineers and colleagues of other functions and locations to ensure manufacturability, quality, and serviceability of the end products. Customize global EV charger designs to comply with local regulations and customer requirements. Leverage internal and external resources to complete tasks and reach milestones. Assist with the cost, schedule and performance objectives of projects and its work packages within a global organization. Work with cross-functional workstreams to realize specified deliverables and benefits. Work closely with product managers, operation units, sales units, and development teams, to provide the best solution to fulfill the business case and meet customer satisfaction in terms of response and delivery time, quality level and product performance.
Minimum Requirements :
Requires a master's or foreign equivalent degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or a related field and 2 years of experience performing design engineering, mechanical engineering, or electrical engineering Must have 2 years of experience Working with product standard compliance or certification design In lieu of a master's or foreign equivalent degree in the aforementioned fields and 2 years of experience as stated, employer will accept a bachelor's or foreign equivalent degree in the aforementioned fields and 4 years of experience as stated Must have 1 year of experience working with thermal management or standardization Experience may be, but need not be, acquired concurrently What's in it for you?
