Job Title:
Mechanical Engineer - Industrial Systems Job Description We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer - Industrial Systems to support the design, analysis, and implementation of complex mechanical systems within an advanced industrial and manufacturing environment. This role offers exposure to large-scale infrastructure, mission-critical facilities, and fast-paced engineering challenges. Candidates with 2+ years of experience through senior-level backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Responsibilities Design, evaluate, and support industrial mechanical systems with a focus on HVAC and plumbing infrastructure. Develop and review HVAC system designs, including refrigeration systems, chillers, boilers, and air handling equipment. Support the design and operation of plumbing systems, including domestic water, wastewater, venting, and storm drainage. Collaborate with cross-functional engineering, construction, and operations teams to ensure systems meet performance, safety, and reliability requirements. Review drawings, calculations, and specifications for compliance with applicable codes and standards. Provide technical support during installation, commissioning, and ongoing operations. Identify opportunities for system optimization, energy efficiency, and scalability. Essential Skills Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline. 2+ years of professional experience in mechanical or industrial systems engineering. Working knowledge of HVAC design and operational principles, including refrigeration, chillers, boilers, and air handling units. Experience with plumbing system design and operation, including domestic water, wastewater, venting, and storm systems. Ability to work in a fast-paced, technically rigorous environment. Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience supporting industrial, manufacturing, or large-scale facilities. Familiarity with building codes, standards, and best practices (ASHRAE, IPC, IMC, etc.). Experience reviewing or producing engineering drawings and technical documentation. Exposure to construction support, commissioning, or field engineering activities. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Bastrop, TX. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $60.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
