Job Description

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Product Mechanical Engineer to define, validate, and optimize mechanical assembly and repair processes, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. This position involves analyzing failures, implementing process improvements, performing verifications and risk analysis during new product introductions, and designing experiments to validate solutions. The ideal candidate possesses skills such as tool handling, 3D design, blueprint interpretation, use of measurement equipment, and the ability to develop technical reports. Strong collaboration and leadership skills, critical thinking, and decision-making under pressure are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Define and validate technical processes for safe and proper execution.
  • Implement process changes to meet product and company requirements.
  • Prepare technical reports and failure analyses, including measurements, design data, statistics, images, and supporting evidence.
  • Design, execute, and document experiments for validation and problem-solving.
  • Define processes for recovery or repair of materials with mechanical or cosmetic defects.
  • Analyze failures and propose structured solutions for escalation to R&D and engineering change requests (ECR).
  • Create documentation for safe shipment of finished goods in compliance with US DOT and Federal Highway Administration regulations.
  • Coordinate activities for new project introduction, issue list, DFX ETC.
  • fixture Design, validation, and improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and applicable regulations.
  • Develop work instructions and visual aids for specific tasks.
  • Train junior engineers and technicians on new tasks and proper PPE usage.
  • Collaborate on continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Implement corrective, preventive, and containment actions
  • Identify and promote emerging talent within the team.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office, particularly Excel)
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, mechatronic or manufacture Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1-3 years of experience in manufacture processes, machining process (conventional or CNC)
  • Proficient with 3d Design & printing
  • Basic understanding of materials and mechanical components.
  • Comfortable working with complex problems
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in electronics or server manufacturing environment
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish)
  • Mechanical design and analysis
  • Use of measurement tools and statistical analysis (CPK, R&R)
  • 2D & 3D Design software
  • Root cause analysis and failure investigation (methodology desirable)
  • Fixture design and validation
  • Safety & document compliance
  • Data analysis

Work Environment:
  • Office/desk located within a climate-controlled warehouse or production floor
  • Frequent use of computers, barcode scanners, and office equipment
  • Occasional walking, lifting (up to 30 lbs), or light material handling
  • May require working flexible shifts including weekends, nights, and holidays
  • Warehouse environment - can be noisy, fast-paced, and may require PPE
  • Standing, walking, and lifting throughout shift
