Job Description

This role will support product design and development activities for the company portfolio, with a primary focus on a Closed Loop Control initiative aimed at improving product manufacturability. The engineer will work in a cross-functional environment, partnering closely with R D, Manufacturing Engineering, and Quality to ensure designs are optimized for production readiness.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
  • Supporting design development and refinement through CAD modeling, drawing updates, and interpretation of engineering specifications
  • Support CNC grinding setup and troubleshooting
  • Applying GD&T and tolerance stack-up analysis to ensure critical dimensions meet functional and manufacturing requirements
  • Performing Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) to proactively identify and mitigate product and process risks
  • Collaborating with manufacturing teams to transition new designs into production or update current design based on production feedback, troubleshoot issues, and improve yield and reliability
  • Participating in design reviews, technical discussions, and root cause investigations to drive continuous improvement
  • Documenting technical analyses and supporting deliverables required for design control and product development processes Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
Designs, develops, analyzes, troubleshoots and provides technical skills during research and/or product development. Designs studies to investigate specific life science questions within field of expertise. May be involved in product research and development and/or clinical trials. Translates research discoveries into usable and marketable products.
SPECIALIST CAREER STREAM
Typically an individual contributor with responsibility in a professional discipline or specialty. Delivers and/or manages projects assigned and works with other stakeholders to achieve desired results. May act as a mentor to colleagues or may direct the work of other lower level professionals. The majority of time is spent delivering and overseeing the projects from design to implementation while and adhering to policies, using specialized knowledge and skills normally acquired through advanced education (typically University).

Required Knowledge and Experience:
Requires advanced knowledge of job area combining breadth and depth, typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. May have practical knowledge of project management. Requires a University Degree and minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
Pay Range:
40-50/hr depending on experience
