Job Description:
Mechanical Engineer should have 6+ years of experience working with rotating equipment. Candidate will lead the design (concept only, no real CAD work), integration, and delivery of packaged rotating equipment systems. Will be working with compressors, pumps, turbines, and generator sets, with an emphasis on modularized and field-deployable solutions for oil & gas and power generation applications. Will be responsible for taking projects from concept through detailed design, fabrication, and commissioning-ensuring performance, reliability, and constructability. Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the design and layout of packaged rotating equipment systems, including:
  • Gas compressors (reciprocating and centrifugal), Pumps (API and specialty), Combustion turbines and generator sets.
  • Develop GA drawings, P&IDs, and 3D models for skid-mounted and modular packages
  • Define and specify auxiliary systems, including Lube oil systems, Fuel gas systems, Cooling systems (air/oil/water), Filtration and separation systems
  • Coordinate with mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation teams to ensure full system integration, Interface with OEMs and vendors (e.g., turbine, compressor, and package suppliers), Support equipment selection, sizing, and performance evaluation, Oversee fabrication, shop inspections, and FATs (Factory Acceptance Tests), Provide field support during installation, commissioning, and startup.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable standards (API, ASME, ANSI, etc.)
  • Optimize designs for modularity, transportability, and rapid deployment
Required:
  • Bachelor s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field)
  • 5+ years of experience in rotating equipment or package engineering
  • Strong understanding of: Compressors, pumps, and turbines, Skid/package design and integration, Piping and mechanical systems
  • Must have experience doing FEA Analysis (thermodynamics, structural, etc..). Any CAD experience is a plus.
  • Familiarity with API standards (API 610, 617, 618, 614, etc.
