Engineer, Rotating Equipment Methanex - 3.8 Nederland, TX Job Details Full-time 1 day ago Qualifications Maintenance Industrial equipment troubleshooting Bachelor's degree Root cause analysis Mechanical troubleshooting Full Job Description Position Summary Responsible for maintenance, engineering, condition monitoring and managing projects to enhance equipment safety and reliability. Responsibilities Perform the design, specifications, repairment, replacement of General purpose turbines, Special purpose turbines, centrifugal pumps, multistage centrifugal pumps, axial compressors, and centrifugal compressors. Perform and assess diagnostics of rotating machinery including vibration, performance, oil analysis. Develop reliability strategies for rotating machinery. Own the rotating machinery predictive maintenance strategy. Perform root cause analysis of failed rotating machinery. Participate in process safety activities as it relates to rotating machinery. Will be working outdoors in all weather conditions, as required. Be on call and work nights and weekends, as required Qualifications Education, Experience, and/or Training Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field, and 7 years of experience in related chemical manufacturing or oil & gas industry. Must have 2 years of experience in vibrations analysis (system 1), including analyzing vibration data and troubleshooting. Must have 1 year of experience in lube oil analysis, including analyzing data and making maintenance recommendations. Must have 1 year of experience in preventative maintenance, including maintaining and developing preventative maintenance plans and measuring the effectiveness of the program. Must have 1 year of experience in failure analysis, including reviewing equipment failures and making recommendations to improve reliability. Security Clearance Requirements Must be eligible to obtain Transportation Workers Identification Credential (TWIC). Work Schedule Full time employment, Monday - Friday, 40 hours per week. Travel Must be willing and able to travel up to 10% of the time for domestic travel within the U.S. or within the domestic U.S. Gulf Coast region.
