Job Description

Overview A specialized industrial engineering and manufacturing organization is seeking a Project Engineer to support the design and execution of projects within CO₂ liquefaction and dry ice production systems. This role sits at the intersection of engineering design, project execution, and client interaction, offering the opportunity to work on technically complex systems in a niche and growing sector. The company provides a collaborative environment where engineers are involved across the full project lifecycle - from concept through installation and commissioning. The Role The Project Engineer will be responsible for designing, managing, and supporting industrial refrigeration and process system projects. This includes equipment sizing, system design, documentation, and coordination with internal teams and external stakeholders. This is a hands-on role requiring both technical expertise and project coordination, with involvement in design reviews, fabrication support, and field implementation. Success in this role means delivering accurate engineering solutions, supporting efficient project execution, and ensuring systems are designed to meet performance, safety, and compliance standards. Responsibilities Engineering & Design Lead the design of industrial refrigeration and CO₂ process systems Size refrigeration equipment, piping systems, and related components Develop and review P&ID drawings and technical documentation Prepare instrumentation bills of materials (BOMs) for projects Support standardization efforts for modular system designs Project Execution & Coordination Support project lifecycle from concept through installation and commissioning Assist with project estimating and proposal development Collaborate with Project Managers on resource planning and project tracking Work closely with fabrication teams to ensure design alignment and execution Support installation and commissioning with service and field teams Technical Support & Collaboration Provide technical support to internal teams including technicians, designers, and project managers Act as a liaison between engineering, operations, and clients Participate in vendor coordination, design reviews, and engineering assessments Support troubleshooting and technical service for installed systems Client & Stakeholder Management Interface with clients to support project delivery and technical communication Assist in managing project costs and ensuring alignment with client expectations Requirements Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience) Experience in mechanical engineering, preferably within industrial systems or refrigeration Working knowledge of CAD or AutoCAD Experience with industrial refrigeration systems, piping, or process systems preferred Strong understanding of engineering design principles and system integration Ability to read and develop technical drawings including P&IDs Strong problem-solving and analytical skills Soft Skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work collaboratively across teams High attention to detail and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a technical environment Proactive and solution-oriented mindset Salary Competitive compensation based on experience Location Pampa, Texas.
