Bilingual Communication (English/Korean): Demonstrated competency in both oral and written communication for cross-functional and global team alignment. Technical Writing & Reporting:
Proficiency in gathering data from multiple sources to prepare, review, and refine technical manuals, spreadsheets, and test procedures. Role Summary The Product Liability Engineer provides technical analysis of mobile devices launched in North America, with a specialized focus on product liability and safety claims. Under minimal supervision, this role manages multiple projects using common Project Management principles, identifies defect symptoms through reverse engineering, and performs failure analysis using advanced laboratory equipment. The ideal candidate will translate technical findings into critical reports and coordinate across multiple internal and external teams to enhance next-generation product quality. Key Responsibilities Failure Analysis & Troubleshooting:
Perform daily failure analysis of mobile devices related to product liability and safety claims using analytical equipment (X-Ray/CT machines, digital microscopes, and overheating test equipment). Technical Reporting:
Prepare and critically review detailed technical reports, manuals, test procedures, and user guides based on reverse engineering findings to present to R D and senior management. Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Partner with Engineering, Product Management, and Repair Technician teams to deliver product condition specifications, improve next-generation repair productivity, and enhance product performance. Field & Lab Inspections:
Conduct scene and laboratory inspections outside the office to investigate user environments causing defective symptoms. Project Management:
Manage multiple projects using structured principles, track required reports, and keep management apprised of all defect symptoms and functional trends. Qualifications & Requirements Education:
Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Analytics, or a related field. Experience:
At least 3 years of experience with the selection, maintenance, and application of electronic and test equipment preferred. Prior experience in the mobile industry is highly preferred. Technical Tools:
Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) operating in a Windows environment, and hands-on experience with electronics testing technologies (X-Ray, CT, SEM, EDS). Core Competencies Complex Problem Solving:
