  • Experience with in modeling and simulation utilizing SolidWorks
  • Experience with the integration of hardware with software solutions

  • Experience supporting nuclear surety programs, nuclear command, control, and communications (NC3), or other high-reliability DoD mission environments

  • Provide mechanical engineering support to a nuclear surety-focused program, ensuring system designs meet mission, safety, and compliance requirements
  • Develop, modify, and maintain 3D models and technical drawings using SolidWorks to support system design, integration, and sustainment efforts
  • Support the design and analysis of mechanical components, assemblies, and systems utilized in secure, high-reliability environments
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, program management, and operations) to translate requirements into effective and compliant design solutions
  • Assist in the evaluation of existing systems and components, identifying opportunities for improvement, modernization, or risk mitigation
  • Generate and review engineering documentation, including drawings, specifications, and technical reports to support configuration management and program deliverables
  • Ensure designs adhere to nuclear surety, safety, and mission assurance standards, including applicable DoD and Air Force guidelines
  • Participate in testing, validation, and troubleshooting activities to verify mechanical system performance and reliability
  • Support configuration control processes, including change management, versioning, and documentation updates
  • Communicate technical findings, risks, and recommendations to engineering leadership and program stakeholders
