The role owns the mechanical design function for custom high-voltage enclosures and integrated power distribution systems serving mission-critical infrastructure customers. The Mechanical Engineering Manager leads design execution, mentors the engineering team, and serves as the primary technical interface with clients across the project lifecycle.

$170,000 to $200,000 base salary, plus annual bonus. Relocation assistance provided. What You'll Do Lead the mechanical design of industrial control panel enclosures, skids, cabinets, generator enclosures, and integrated mechanical assemblies. Own the design and execution of custom generator enclosures and integrated power distribution systems, including structural and HVAC integration to optimize durability, safety, and cooling performance. Specify materials and components with environmental, geographic, and regulatory considerations factored in. Produce detailed design packages including drawings, bills of materials, and technical documentation. Ensure all designs meet UL, structural, and applicable regulatory requirements. Drive engineering schedules and coordinate with Project Managers, Electrical Engineering, Sales, and Manufacturing to deliver projects on scope and on schedule. Serve as the primary technical interface with clients throughout the project lifecycle, from initial scoping through delivery. Lead design reviews and mentor junior engineers and designers. Maintain and improve internal engineering standards, design libraries, and best practices. Identify and lead opportunities for design standardization, manufacturability improvements, and engineering efficiency gains. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering 8+ years of mechanical engineering experience, including 5+ years working on mission-critical custom enclosures Direct experience with generator enclosures, fuel tank systems, or UL-listed enclosures in the mission-critical enclosure industry Hands-on mechanical design experience in commercial or industrial construction environments Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD (3D) Experience leading design reviews and mentoring junior engineers Strong client-facing communication skills Preferred Qualifications Professional Engineer (PE) license E-House or Power Distribution Module design experience High-voltage system design experience Experience with data center, oil and gas, or utility-scale power infrastructure projects Familiarity with structural analysis tools (FEA) and CFD for HVAC integration Experience managing a mechanical engineering team Compensation and Benefits $170,000 to $200,000 base salary Annual performance bonus Relocation assistance to San Antonio, TX Medical, dental, and vision insurance 401(k) retirement plan Paid time off and paid holidays To apply, submit your resume through this posting.
