Description:
You will be the Armament Systems Engineer - Level 4 for the Armament Team which is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and integrating armament hardware for advanced aircraft. What You Will Be Doing As the Armament Systems Engineer - Level 4 you will be responsible for driving mechanical and structural solutions that enable mission‑critical weapon systems. You will work within the Weapons Integration organization, supporting the F‑35 platform and ensuring armament equipment meets rigorous performance and safety standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
Define and enforce requirements for supplier‑developed armament equipment. Review and validate designs to ensure compliance with requirements and safety standards. Provide production and field support, including failure investigations and creation of sustain‑ment documentation. Develop troubleshooting and repair guides for deployed systems. Perform preliminary or conceptual design of AME components using CATIA and other 3‑D modeling tools. Who You Are You are a collaborative mechanical engineer with proven experience in weapons integration, F‑35 systems, and high‑pressure pneumatic equipment. - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must possess an active Interim Secret clearance to start. This position is in Fort Worth, TX  Discover Fort Worth.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree from an accredited college in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering degree
  • Aerospace engineering related experience
  • Experience in requirements development and verification
  • Experience with supplier management
  • Familiarity with CATIA V5 or equivalent
Desired Skills:
  • Highly motivated individual with the ability to formulate logical approaches to resolving technical problems and manage multiple tasks concurrently
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and to understand Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing notations
  • Hardware design experience
  • Computerized modeling and drafting experience
  • Ability to work well individually and with team members across multiple organizations
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to develop clear technical presentations for customers and suppliers
  • Microsoft Office Skills; of particular importance:
Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Project Security Clearance Statement:

Work Schedules:
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.
