Your contributions will be pivotal in designing and optimizing defense systems that ensure national security and shape the future of space defense. Position Summary KBR, Inc. is seeking a highly capable and organized Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Clearfield, UT. Key Responsibilities- Operate with minimal supervision, demonstrating strong verbal and written communication skills while collaborating with senior leadership, government agencies, and the KBR team.
- Provide technical solutions to complex engineering problems.
- Ensure designs comply with industry standards and specifications.
- Document engineering processes and workflows.
Qualifications Required:
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering.
- Minimum 2 years of engineering experience, 5 preferred.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communications.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Desired:
- Proficient understanding and working knowledge of SolidWorks, and simulation tools such as ANSYS.
- Proficient understanding and working knowledge of material selection, manufacturing techniques, and creating and interpreting engineering drawings and data.
- Experience and knowledge of reliability, maintainability, and supportability challenges due to aging and obsolete components.
- Knowledge and experience with root cause analysis.
