Job Description

Overview We are seeking a hands-on Design Engineer to join our team in developing high-quality overlanding trailers. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys both design and fabrication and wants to be involved in the full product lifecycle—from concept to production. You'll play a key role in creating rugged, functional products built for real-world use and adventure. Duties Design sheet metal and welded structures using SolidWorks Create detailed 3D models, assemblies, and production drawings Build, test, and refine prototypes based on real-world performance Program and operate CNC router to produce parts and tooling Develop custom features and solutions based on customer requirements Collaborate with team members to improve product design and functionality Work with vendors to source materials and components Assist with ordering parts and managing inventory needs Support continuous improvement in design, manufacturing, and assembly processes Qualifications 2 + Years experience or a strong portfolio demonstrating applicable skills and project work. Proficiency in SolidWorks (sheet metal, weldments, and assemblies) Strong understanding of fabrication processes, especially sheet metal and welding Hands-on experience building and testing physical prototypes Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Good communication and organizational skills Preferred Qualifications Experience programming and operating CNC equipment (router preferred) Interest in overlanding, off-road vehicles, or outdoor products What We Offer A hands-on role with direct impact on product development Opportunity to work on innovative, adventure-focused products Collaborative, small-team environment Room for creativity and ownership of projects
Pay:
$65,247.33 - $80,620.44 per year
