MECHANICAL SYSTEMS ENGINEER

As a Mechanical Systems Engineer , you will be a member of an international team focused on creating and reviewing efficient designs for state-of-the-art passenger trains, managing complex interfaces, and integrating brake systems. Key Responsibilities Create concepts, specifications, and technical documentation for passenger train systems. Responsible for the design and integration of systems into various rail vehicles. Coordinate technical and project system requirements between Mechanical, Electrical, Software, and other engineering teams. Act as the primary technical liaison for Stadler's contracted external system suppliers. Interpret and incorporate local, federal, and customer requirements into system designs. Define procurement documentation, type testing, and commissioning documentation. Support static and dynamic field testing of rail vehicles. Responsible for performing First Article Inspections (FAI) of assigned system(s). Follow scheduling, budgetary goals and guidelines. Ensure clear and effective cross-departmental collaboration. Fluent in English, both written and verbal. German is a plus! Qualifications BS or MS degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or similar Engineering discipline. Experience with designing and defining mechanical systems Independent and well-structured working methods. Able to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. Self-motivated attitude and the ability to use initiative to maintain project timelines. Excellent communication, technical writing, and problem-solving skills.
