In this pivotal role, you will lead cross-functional teams to deliver cutting-edge solutions that meet rigorous industry standards and client specifications. We work in Oil and Gas, Mining, Manufacturing, Power, along with HVAC. Minimum of 8 years experience but not more than 20. Your expertise will drive the entire project lifecycle, from conceptualization and detailed design to construction/manufacturing support. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated leader passionate about advancing mechanical engineering frontiers and delivering impactful results in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Lead the mechanical design process utilizing CAD tools such as AutoCAD to develop detailed schematics, assemblies, and drawings aligned with project requirements. FEA analysis is a plus. Must have a PE license Must have experience in Refinery or similar plants or Mining facilities. Oversee project scheduling, ensuring timely milestones are met while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams including structural and electrical, systems. Conduct root cause analysis on mechanical failures or performance issues, implementing corrective actions to optimize system reliability and efficiency. Must know applicable codes Develop comprehensive system designs incorporating mechanical knowledge, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and adherence to ASME codes & standards. Utilize simulation tools like FEA (Finite Element Analysis), MATLAB, Simulink, and LabVIEW to validate mechanical concepts and optimize performance parameters. Manage manufacturing processes by supporting CNC machining, prototyping, and assembly activities; ensure designs are manufacturable within quality standards. Prepare technical documentation including schematics, drafting reports, and CAD models; ensure all designs comply with industry standards such as ASME codes & standards. Experience Proven experience in mechanical engineering with a strong background in refinery or other chemical or oil related mechanical design, system integration, and project management. Demonstrated expertise with CAD software such as AutoCAD and CADworks for complex mechanical modeling and drafting. Knowledge of industry standards such as ASME codes & standards for pressure vessels, piping, or structural components. Strong analytical skills with proficiency in root cause analysis techniques to troubleshoot mechanical issues effectively. Experience working with FEA tools for stress analysis and performance optimization of mechanical components. Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams through project lifecycle stages while maintaining focus on quality, safety, and efficiency.
