Mechanical Design Engineer responsible for sheet metal design, electrical switchgear design support, CAD modeling, and design for manufacturing. Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering Strong design engineering experience Sheet metal design experience Design for Manufacturing experience Electrical switchgear experience Strong CAD experience Experience with SolidEdge, SolidWorks, Inventor, or equivalent CAD software Experience creating and modifying mechanical designs, drawings, and models Preferred Skills SolidEdge experience SolidWorks experience Inventor experience Experience designing sheet metal enclosures, panels, cabinets, or related fabricated components Experience supporting manufacturing teams with design updates and production-ready documentation Experience with mechanical design for electrical equipment or power distribution products Job Responsibilities Develop mechanical designs for electrical switchgear and related equipment Create and update sheet metal designs for enclosures, panels, cabinets, and components Apply Design for Manufacturing principles to improve manufacturability and production efficiency Create and modify CAD models, assemblies, and engineering drawings Use SolidEdge, SolidWorks, Inventor, or related CAD tools to support design work Review designs for fit, form, function, manufacturability, and production requirements Support design revisions, product updates, and engineering documentation Coordinate design requirements with engineering, manufacturing, and production teams Resolve design issues related to sheet metal fabrication, assembly, and switchgear applications
