Job Description:
Description Job Summary Responsibilities include creating/checking electrical designs to ensure they meet customer specifications and applicable codes, Integration related BOM pre-orders, collaboration with engineering and project support teams as needed to clarify issues, and shop support as needed to minimize negative impacts/delays. Essential Job Functions Collaborate with and learn proper design techniques from more senior designers. Develop in-depth equipment knowledge, application, and methods of installation/use. Review drawings and relaying schemes to ensure that they are complete and that they accurately reflect the customer's requirements and the engineering design as defined in the customer specifications. Review the drawings and relaying schemes to verify they match engineering calculations and necessary codes that are applicable. Perform required calculations to ensure all dimensions, tolerance limits, and other drawing details are correct. Assist engineering, shop, quality, and field support personnel to verify customer satisfaction. Develop strong interdepartmental relationships and open communication lines to assure efficient problem resolution. Renders technical assistance to factory personnel, sales staff, field service, and/or customers as needed. Support inventory reduction and cost savings initiatives. Support continuous improvement initiatives throughout the organization as needed. Support customer meetings and FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing) as needed. Possible travel as needed. Monitor production schedule demands to meet ship dates. Performs other assigned duties as required by management.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Computer programs:
Windows, Word, Excel, the latest release of AutoCAD, the latest release of Revit.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE 1-3
years on the job electrical experience with conduit, circuits, panels, protection relays, etc.
