Mechanical Engineer V | Onsite in Virginia We're looking for an experienced Mechanical Engineer V to lead complex, high‑impact projects from concept all the way through construction. If you enjoy driving strategy, guiding cross‑functional teams, and seeing your work come to life in the field—this role is for you. ✨ What You'll Do Lead full lifecycle mechanical engineering projects —design development through construction administration Coordinate and direct cross‑functional teams to meet project goals Implement and optimize platforms like Smartsheet and Procore Establish deadlines, assign responsibilities, and maintain project momentum Deliver clear, actionable project reports to leadership Apply strong engineering judgment and bring creativity to solve complex problems 🔧 What You Bring Expertise in mechanical design + construction lifecycle management Strong leadership and team‑coordination experience Advanced proficiency with project management tools (Smartsheet, Procore, etc.) Proven project success metrics and ability to manage multiple large-scale programs Strategic decision‑making ability and history of increasing responsibility Experience mentoring and developing team members 🌟 Why You'll Love This Role This is a highly collaborative, hands‑on engineering leadership role where your decisions directly shape project outcomes. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Herndon, VA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $65.00 - $75.00/hr.
