About the Role As a Lead Mechanical Systems Engineer, you will spearhead the development of high-performance HVAC solutions for complex building projects. By integrating advanced technical analysis with strategic project management, you will ensure that our mechanical designs achieve optimal energy efficiency and long-term operational value. Responsibilities Develop comprehensive HVAC system designs that prioritize building performance, sustainability, and strict adherence to regulatory codes. Manage the full lifecycle of mechanical design projects, driving progress from initial conceptualization through final construction documentation. Facilitate seamless coordination between architects, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project objectives are met with precision. Utilize advanced load calculation and energy modeling software to optimize system functionality and efficiency. Provide technical oversight and mentorship to junior staff, fostering a culture of engineering excellence and professional growth. Drive the refinement of internal design standards and workflows to enhance overall project delivery quality. Qualifications Required Skills Professional Engineering (PE) licensure. Extensive experience in mechanical systems design for commercial and institutional facilities. Expertise in industry-standard energy modeling and load calculation software such as Trace and ComCheck. Demonstrated proficiency in technical documentation and project coordination using Microsoft Office Suite. Strong interpersonal skills with a proven ability to lead teams and communicate complex technical concepts effectively. Preferred Skills Advanced proficiency in Revit for BIM-integrated design. Background in sustainable design practices and high-performance building certification standards. Experience in managing multi-disciplinary project teams to meet aggressive deadlines.
