Full-Time, Non-Exempt, Hourly Job Summary:
The position supports the preparation, maintenance, and deployment of Mighty Media's video equipment and storage systems while also working on live productions to support builds, troubleshoot, and learn high-level engineering. This role is for someone with a foundation in live video production who is highly organized and wants to grow towards a video engineer path.
Essential Functions:
Track inventory and ensure gear is properly stored, labeled, organized, maintained, and show-ready. Manage equipment check-out and returns. Use, maintain, and update inventory management tool Cheqroom. Prepare equipment for check out by production teams, ensuring all necessary components are included in the request. Assist in providing alternative solutions when equipment is unavailable. Oversee maintenance, cleaning, and repair of production equipment and vehicles, including scheduling service, repairs, software & firmware updates Participate in equipment evaluation and purchasing and assist in replacing lost or unrepairable equipment. Support Operations team with insurance claims and current inventory Load in/out, build, and break down equipment for assigned productions. Support camera setup, including cabling, placement, labeling, basic configuration, and coordination with camera operators and engineering staff. Maintain accurate notes, labels, packing lists, diagrams, or other documentation that supports repeatable workflows.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Proficiency in packing, labeling, cable management, and maintaining professional video equipment. Ability to drive 18' box truck. Calm under pressure, especially during live production environments. Proactive communicator who can ask good questions, flag issues early, and follow direction from senior technical staff. Interest in learning higher-level engineering, live production workflows, camera systems, video standards, and technical troubleshooting. Ability to work flexible production schedules, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, travel, and longer days as needed.
Education and Experience:
Minimum 2 years of video production experience, with hands-on multi-camera production experience preferred. Familiarity with professional video gear and basic production workflows. Knowledge of media offload, file organization, codecs, and recording formats is a plus. Formal production, broadcast, media, or technical training is helpful but not required with equivalent hands-on experience.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
This is a full-time in-office role in the Greater Seattle Area (King, Pierce, and Snohomish Counties). You will be in the office / on-site up to five days a week at the Mighty Media office or client site.

If a Mighty office or client office is unavailable for use (i.e., closure, building construction, etc.), you are expected to provide an arrangement to work remotely. The office generally operates from 9 am-5 pm, but the days and hours of this position may vary week-to-week. A willingness to work varying schedules, including weekends, nights, holidays, long shifts (10+ hours) as needed is required for production. The work location may shift due to project needs.
