We are hiring for an Equipment & Tool Engineer to support our client's aerospace manufacturing operations by developing and implementing tooling, equipment, and production engineering solutions. The role combines engineering design, project management, and hands-on production floor support, requiring close collaboration with manufacturing teams, tool makers, safety personnel, and engineering stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have a passion for process improvement, equipment design, and solving complex manufacturing challenges in a fast-paced production environment. This position offers direct involvement in supporting aircraft production while driving safety, quality, efficiency, and operational excellence. Responsibilities:
Develop equipment and tooling concepts, specifications, and solutions to support aerospace manufacturing operations. Support tooling fabrication, implementation, and production use activities. Participate in design reviews and gather manufacturing requirements to support production objectives. Create and revise engineering drawings, models, and technical documentation. Develop specifications and purchase requests for equipment and tooling procurement. Ensure equipment and tooling designs meet safety, quality, reliability, maintainability, and ergonomic requirements. Develop inspection procedures, maintenance plans, user instructions, and training materials. Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables for tooling and equipment initiatives. Collaborate with production teams, mechanics, tool makers, safety personnel, and engineering stakeholders to support manufacturing operations. Drive continuous improvement efforts focused on efficiency, productivity, and process optimization. Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Technology, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, or a related technical discipline. Minimum 1+ years of related engineering or manufacturing experience. Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to work effectively in a production-focused environment. Experience interpreting engineering drawings, technical specifications, and manufacturing documentation. Work Environment:
This role requires extensive interaction on the production floor. Candidates should be comfortable standing and walking for extended periods during the workday. Ability to climb stairs, ladders, and access elevated work areas may be required. Work may occasionally involve tight or confined spaces and the use of required personal protective equipment (PPE).
