Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) is seeking a highly motivated and adaptable Associate or Mid-Level Structural & Mechanical Testing Engineer to join our Test & Evaluation teams in Tukwila, WA and Everett, WA . This engineer will play a vital role in developing test plans and procedures, designing test hardware, and conducting structural tests to ensure that company products and services comply with customer, regulatory, and company requirements. In this position, you will design, develop, and integrate test systems, as well as design test hardware, software, and systems to achieve comprehensive test requirements that encompass the full spectrum of testing. You will review and validate test data, preparing and publishing detailed test reports. Additionally, you will conduct research in test technologies to improve efficiency and capability, while interfacing with other members of project or program teams, management, and technical staff to define and implement effective test engineering solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in structural and mechanical engineering, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively. A self-motivated individual with a sense of urgency and a commitment to taking ownership of projects will thrive in this role.
Position Responsibilities:
Develop test plans, procedures, and test equipment/software to ensure compliance with customer, regulatory, and company requirements. Design, develop, and integrate test systems to support testing activities. Create test hardware to meet comprehensive test requirements across various testing scenarios. Review and validate test data, ensuring accuracy and quality prior to delivery to customers. Prepare and publish detailed test reports that summarize findings. Research test technologies that enhance testing efficiency and capability. Manage multiple projects while interfacing with project or program teams, management, and technical staff to define and implement effective test engineerig solutions. Exhibit self-motivation and a sense of urgency, taking ownership of projects to drive successful outcomes. Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement 1+ years experience in structural design, analysis, and/or testing Experience with CATIA, SolidWorks, or a similar CAD program Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience) Level 3: 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience Experience in project management Experience working in a dynamic, multidisciplinary organization
