Overview:
ACS Professional Staffing is looking for an employee to work on-site with our client. This Mechanical Engineer 3 will lead and support the scoping, design, and construction oversight of complex mechanical projects; coordinate technical resources, schedules, and cost estimates; review and design mechanical systems and ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards. This role requires a PE license, strong knowledge of mechanical building and site systems, experience with NFPA, NEC, ASHRAE, and proficiency in Microsoft Office tools. This full-time position is located in Vancouver, WA.Pay Rate:
$41.87 - $59.82Benefits:

- Assesses and proposes resource needs for scoping (preliminary engineering and design), design and construction oversight.
- Reviews and determines project requirements with scoping results.
- Coordinates and participates in project kick-off meetings to discuss necessary resources and review project requirements.
- Interprets program, and project requirements by reviewing project proposals and plans and conferring with management.
- Identifies engineering problems and ensures solutions are implemented.
- Facilitates across all disciplines for project scope refinement and associated preliminary engineering.
- Facilitates the completion of project cost estimates.
- Evaluates scoping and design schedules while monitoring project progress to coordinate activities and resolve problems.
- Evaluates design quality through technical review of project design, specifications, plan and schedule, and recommending actions to assure minimal design modifications during construction.
- Coordinates technical and design support requests as needed during the construction phase.
- Collects, analyzes, and summarizes project issues and trends to recommend actions.
- Prepares project statements of works, progress reports, technical reports, evaluations, and other documents as required.
- Acts as a central coordinator, facilitator and resolver for all technical aspects of a project.
- Performs design of mechanical systems for in-house projects, as well as performs review of contracted out design.
- Applies technical expertise in mechanical site and building systems, including water wells/utility service, sanitary sewer, plumbing, compressed air, fire protection (detection/suppression), heating, ventilation, & air conditioning (HVAC), radon mitigation, diesel & propane engine generators (EG) and fuel tanks, and lifts, hoists, & cranes.
- Acts as the technical point of contact and liaison with Project Managers, A&Es (Architect & Engineering) contractors; Design-Build and Progressive Design Build teams.
- Recommends and implements modifications to mechanical systems and equipment specifications, standards, new designs, and/or replacements or upgrade of equipment and projects when needed to improve reliability, performance, safety aligning with industry standards.
