Job Description

Job description: R. Sabee is a family-owned manufacturing facility in the Fox Valley established in 1951 by Reinhardt Sabee. We are committed to producing industry leading pet, home, and medical absorbent products. Monday through Friday Core Hours 8 AM - 4 PM The Process Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for a wide range of duties related troubleshooting machine issues, designing equipment, and project management. The ideal candidate will be able to multi-task troubleshooting current issues, while developing improvement and sustainability plans. This position also requires a basic understanding of electrical drives and PLC program. We are looking for a positive, highly motivated individual with excellent communication skills and the ability to work well both in a team and individually.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Troubleshoot highspeed converting equipment issues (process, mechanical, and electrical). Be hands on to help fix issues with mechanics and other engineers. Analyze production downtime data to determine top issues. Analyze highspeed camera video footage to diagnose issues.
  • Must be a self-motivated individual with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively complete tasks individually as well as in a cross-function team environment Computer design proficiency: Knowledge in Autocad Recommend improved processes, procedures, equipment, and materials which will enhance the efficiency of manufacture and quality of products.
Assist R&D in the development and scale-up of new products. As required, establish working relationships with outside personnel to meet project objectives. Review proposals of outside vendors regarding the purchase of new or modernization of existing production/processing equipment. Develop, implement, and communicate work instructions, procedures and other documentation as necessary to support work responsibilities. Perform other duties as assigned.
