Role & Responsibilities:

Create mechanical 3D models and drawings for the assigned product line, showing product details, dimensions, and materials of construction leveraging Solidworks. Ensure all drawings are detailed, accurate, complete, and in accordance with customer requirements and company procedures. Deliver all drawings and models according to schedules and deadlines set by customers and the department management. Contribute innovative ideas, skills, and work products to the business unit. Utilize Solid Modeling, Product Data Management (PDM), and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software as a routine course of business while demonstrating a willingness and ability for continued learning and skills advancement. Analyze customer, mechanical, structural, and regulatory requirements to develop practical, effective, and complete design solutions. Convert verbal and written information into 2-dimensional drawings for use in the product manufacturing process. Requires a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field with 2+ years of experience, or an associate's degree in mechanical design or related field with 8+ years of experience. Experience designing with SolidWorks. Proficiency with Product Data Management and ERP software. Solid understanding of developing mechanical designs and drawings with product details, dimensions, and structures while indicating materials and manufacturing procedures. Ability to convert written and verbal information into 2-dimensional drawings. Proficiently use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams). Ability to visualize designs in both 2D and 3D. Work Environment The employee works in production environments. He/she may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to indoor and outside weather conditions.
