Job Description

Mechanical engineering role focused on heavy-duty vehicle component design, electro-mechanical integration, product testing, root cause analysis, and CAD-based design support. Job Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program 3+ years of relevant heavy vehicle or automotive industry experience Full-time onsite availability Experience with root cause problem-solving methodologies Electro-mechanical system integration experience Hands-on product testing experience Experience with test labs or hardware-in-the-loop testing environments Experience creating engineering documentation Data acquisition tools experience Experience with data post-processing techniques 3D CAD design and modeling experience Creo, CATIA, or similar 3D CAD experience Experience designing mechanical components for heavy-duty vehicles Experience performing engineering analysis for vehicle components Preferred Skills Military combat vehicle systems experience Vehicle systems experience Knowledge of video signal design Knowledge of video signal transmission systems Experience redesigning existing vehicle components Experience supporting component integration into new and existing vehicles Experience developing reliable and cost-effective mechanical designs Job Responsibilities Design mechanical components for heavy-duty vehicles Develop functional, reliable, and cost-effective vehicle component designs Perform engineering analysis for new and existing vehicle components Support design and redesign of components for heavy-duty vehicle applications Develop components for integration into existing and new vehicles Provide vehicle and component integration support Support execution of vehicle and component design activities Apply root cause problem-solving methods to engineering issues Support electro-mechanical system integration Conduct product testing and support test lab activities Use data acquisition and post-processing tools to evaluate test results Create engineering documentation and technical reports Use 3D CAD tools to design and model components
