Prepares samples and specimens for testing using standard laboratory techniques, procedures, or work instructio ns.
Acquires and interprets data and documents results; provides written results in a laboratory or technical report format when appropria te.
Develops and documents laboratory metho ds.
Performs routine calibrations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and minor repair of instruments and equipme nt.
Coordinates the collection, transportation, and documentation of chemical waste dispos al.
Works with and trains apprentices, trainees, and technicia ns.
Interfaces with customers, suppliers, engineers, and other functio ns.
Coordinates programs including planning, scheduling, ordering, and tracki ng.
Participates in the maintenance of quality procedures and work instructio ns.
Participates in improvement projec ts.
Develops and gives presentations to customers and supplie rs.
Participates in self and team audits and associated corrective acti on.
Performs other miscellaneous duties, as requir ed.
High school diploma, certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience. Associate's degree or certification may be required depending on re gion.
