Job Description

Job Summary The Design Engineer (Creo) will be responsible for developing and delivering conceptual and detailed designs for automotive components using Creo. The role involves working independently on product design, creating 3D models and manufacturing drawings, and supporting new product development (NPD) activities. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet functional, manufacturing, and quality requirements. Roles & Responsibilities Develop concept and detailed designs using Creo (Part, Assembly, Surfacing) Design and model sheet metal and plastic components Create and maintain 2D manufacturing drawings with GD&T Apply Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) principles Support New Product Development (NPD) lifecycle activities Work on: Drafting, dimensioning, and tolerancing Prototyping and design validation Engineering Change Notices (ECN) PPAP documentation Perform design analysis, stack-up studies, and optimization (VAVE) Support tooling, fixture, and gauge design Collaborate with manufacturing teams to ensure design for manufacturability (DFM) Utilize Windchill / PLM systems for data management Participate in reverse engineering and design improvements Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or related field 6 8 years of experience in product design (preferably automotive domain) Strong hands-on experience with: Creo (Part, Assembly, Surfacing) GD&T and manufacturing drawings Experience in automotive product development preferred Knowledge of PPAP, ECN, prototyping, and validation processes is a plus Familiarity with 3DEXPERIENCE / Windchill preferred
