- Your Role & Impact
- As an Engineer CAD CAM, you will play a key role in supporting the mechanical design team by creating detailed drawing packages, validating 3D models, and ensuring designs meet industry and military standards.
Your work will directly support manufacturing readiness, product quality, and efficient production processes. Working alongside senior designers and cross-functional teams, you'll help bring highly engineered aerospace products from concept to reality.
- What You'll Do
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
- + Create and review mechanical drawings for accuracy, dimensions, materials, and quantities + Develop and revise design packages in compliance with applicable industry and military standards + Perform 3D mechanical modeling using

- + Create and revise parametric drawings in accordance with
- ASME 3D modeling and drawing standards
- + Review designs for fit, function, manufacturability, and fabrication efficiency + Assist with tolerance analysis, hardware selection, and assembly fitment reviews + Validate 3D models submitted to manufacturing teams + Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams to resolve design issues + Support communication with outside vendors as needed + Perform additional engineering design tasks as assigned •Required Qualifications•+ Experience with CAD design, drafting, or mechanical modeling + Familiarity with Siemens NX or similar 3D CAD software + Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Windows systems + Strong written and verbal communication skills + Ability to work accurately and efficiently under schedule deadlines + Strong time management and organizational skills + Detail-oriented mindset with commitment to quality and precision •Preferred Qualifications•+ Experience with •Siemens NX 2412•and •Teamcenter•+ Basic knowledge of •GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)•and its application + Understanding of tolerance stack-up analysis and hardware fitment + Exposure to aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or mechanical engineering environments + Familiarity with ASME drafting and modeling standards •Why Join PDS Tech Commercial?
