Mechanical Designer

Description Overview Support the design and detailing of prefabricated skid systems and piping for industrial projects (power, water, data centers), creating fabrication-ready models and drawings. Responsibilities

• Convert P&IDs and schematics into 3D models and fabrication drawings
• Produce isometrics, spool sheets, cut lists, and BOMs
• Design skid layouts integrating structural frames, OEM equipment, and piping
• Coordinate with vendors, engineers, and field teams
• Review specs, drawings, and submittals to ensure accuracy and constructability
• Maintain model updates throughout project lifecycle Qualifications
• Mechanical engineering degree is a plus
• 3+ years of piping design or detailing experience Skills
• AutoCAD Plant 3D
• Knowledge of piping systems (carbon steel, stainless, flanged/grooved)
• Understanding of P&IDs, fabrication workflows, and installation constraints
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills Preferred
• Industrial project experience
• Navisworks/BIM coordination exposure
