12+ Months About the Opportunity Our client, a nationally recognized research and engineering organization, is seeking a Mechanical Designer with strong NX experience to support ongoing engineering and development projects. This is a long-term onsite contract opportunity offering exposure to complex, cutting-edge technical programs in a collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities Develop detailed mechanical designs, layouts, and engineering drawings using Siemens NX. Create and maintain 3D models, assemblies, and manufacturing documentation. Collaborate with engineers, project teams, and manufacturing personnel to support product development initiatives. Modify and update existing designs based on engineering change requests and project requirements. Ensure drawings and models comply with applicable engineering standards and specifications. Support prototype development, testing activities, and design reviews. Assist in resolving design-related issues throughout the project lifecycle. Maintain accurate documentation and revision control for all design deliverables.
Required:
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Design, Mechanical Engineering Technology, or a related field. 3+ years of mechanical design experience in an engineering, manufacturing, research, or industrial environment. Proficiency with Siemens NX for 3D modeling and drafting. Strong understanding of GD&T, manufacturing processes, and engineering drawing standards. Experience creating detailed fabrication and assembly drawings. Ability to work effectively within cross-functional engineering teams.
