Ampirical is growing, and we're expanding our drafting leadership team to support that growth. This role exists to provide hands-on leadership, mentorship, and quality oversight for our Relay drafting teams as project volume continues to scale. Hourly Range :

$27+ /hour - Commensurate (dependent on experience, education, and qualifications)

Profit-Sharing Bonus :

Semi-annual, performance-based (10% to 20% of salary)

We're seeking a Relay Drafting Team Lead who thrives in a collaborative environment and is passionate about delivering high-quality engineering solutions. In this pivotal role, you'll guide a team of drafting specialists, ensuring projects are completed on time and to the highest standards.

Lead & Mentor:

Provide direction, coaching, and support to your drafting team, fostering communication and team cohesion.

Project Oversight:

Monitor project progress, address challenges, and ensure accuracy and quality in all deliverables.

Resource Management:

Assist the supervisor with project pipeline, team workload, and resource allocation.

Quality Assurance:

Back-check team members' work, uphold drafting standards, and ensure compliance with company core values.

Collaboration:

Work closely with engineering to deliver designs that meet customer standards.

Hiring & Evaluation:

Participate in hiring and evaluating team members.

Documentation:

Create drawing packages including Protection & Controls and Substation deliverables.

Administrative:

Approve and verify team member timesheets. What You Bring Associates or Bachelor's Degree in

Industrial Technology, Drafting, or Design Experience :

Level III:

2+ years of industry experience with associate/technical degree or 6 months + with a 4-year degree

Senior:

4+ years of industry experience with associate/technical degree or 2+ years with a 4-year degree Minimum 1 year of leadership type experience

Skills :
